The unnamed princess was a daughter of Archduchess Maria Anna, sister of Maria Theresa, and Prince Charles of Lorraine, who was the brother of Emperor Emperor Francis I. Stephen.

The sarcophagus

'Maria Theresa also had a beautiful sarcophagus made for this princess, into which she was transferred in 1752. On 19 October 1761, the princess was transferred from the Angels' Crypt, where she had been resting until then, to the New Vault.'
